About Us

The Sampson Family spends every moment of their free time in the outdoors. Joe and Kait grew up in New Hampshire enjoying everything there is to offer in the NH wilderness. Both Joe and Kait grew up ski racing and met on the ski team at Colby-Sawyer College. Joe grew up mountain bike racing and cycling as well. Now Joe and Kait spend most of their time introducing their two kids Elodie and Tanner to their passions. Biking, Skiing, Camping, Hiking and much more. 

Joe Sampson is the co-owner of Outdoor Adventure Kids LLC and also head coach! He is currently the school Principal at Holderness Central School in Holderness, NH. Five years ago, three students entered his office and asked about starting a mountain bike club. Those students re-ignited a long love of mountain biking Joe had in recent years forgotten. That rekindled love of biking started when he grew up biking and skiing in NH. Joe competed in regional youth and high school mountain bike races. He also raced in regional and high school cycling races in the New England Preparatory School Athletic Council (NEPSAC).  He ski raced through college in the United States Collegiate Ski Association (USCSA). After meeting his wife (and co-owner of OAK) at Colby-Sawyer College, they both began coaching ski racing for Waterville Valley BBTS.  Joe earned a BA in Communications from Colby-Sawyer College, a certificate in general special education and a masters in educational leadership from Plymouth State University and a CAGS and Superintendent Certification from Southern New Hampshire University. Joe has dedicated his life to teaching kids, and supporting the teachers who instruct them, in both education and athletics. 

Kait Sampson is the co-owner of Outdoor Adventure Kids LLC and also a coach. Kait grew up enjoying the outdoors as a ski racer and camper. Kait ski raced for Mount Washington Valley Ski Team and then Colby-Sawyer College. She too has dedicated her life to working with children. She began working straight out of college in recreation running summer camps for local kids and has also coached ski racing at Waterville Valley BBTS. She then moved on to work for The Circle Program, a non-profit girls mentoring program and summer camp. She now works as the office manager for Moultonborough Central School. Kait graduated from Colby-Sawyer with a BS in sports management.
